Privacy and cookies
This policy explains what personal information Audax Agriculture collects through audaxag.com, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Audax Agriculture ("Audax", "we", "us") is an Australian business that builds autonomous systems for livestock and land management. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us, for example to register for field trials, we receive your name, email address and anything else you choose to include.
- Usage information, only if you accept analytics cookies. Pages you view, links and buttons you click, how far you scroll, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, screen size, language, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records basic request data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) to keep the site secure and running. These logs are kept for a limited period.
This website has no accounts, forms or payments, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive information. Pilot accounts live in our separate application at app.audaxag.com, which has its own terms.
How we use it
- To reply to you and to discuss pilots, trials and our products.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We use two kinds of browser storage:
- Strictly necessary. One entry that remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we do not ask on every page. It holds no personal information.
- Analytics (optional). If you accept, an analytics service sets a cookie and local storage entry that give your browser a random identifier, so visits can be counted and linked across pages. These are set only after you click Accept.
You can change your choice at any time with , which is also in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent we stop collecting and remove the analytics cookies from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and we honour your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, such as website hosting, email and analytics providers, and only for those purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or as part of a sale or restructure of our business.
Overseas disclosure
Our analytics provider stores data in the United States, and our hosting and email providers may process data outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas we take reasonable steps, as APP 8 requires, to make sure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it, including encrypted connections to this site.
Your rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you or to correct it, and you can ask us to delete it. You can also choose not to identify yourself when you contact us, although we may not be able to help with some requests. Email contact@audaxag.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at contact@audaxag.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
